A 12V setup needs three things to work: a harness from the battery, a controller to regulate heat, and the garments themselves. The controller is the part that turns wired heat from all-or-nothing into something you can fine-tune — and that matters, because running full heat the whole ride is rarely what you actually want. Getting the wiring right up front is what makes the rest of the system reliable.

Single vs. Dual Controllers

Single-zone controllers manage one circuit; dual controllers let you run two garments — say a jacket liner and gloves — at different heat levels independently. If you plan to add pants and socks later, buying a controller with enough capacity now saves rewiring the bike down the road.

Build the System Around It

Wire the harness to the battery, run it to the controller, and chain your garments off it. Once it's set up, adding a new heated piece is just plugging into an open port — no re-wiring from scratch each time.

Match the Line

These accessories are specific to the wired 12V line. The cordless 7V gear uses its own rechargeable batteries instead of a vehicle harness.
