I was hoping to use it like a heating pad for my sore muscles while driving. It just wasn’t hot enough, nothing like a standard heating pad.

The travel pad is made of very soft material. Warms up nicely to a comfortable temperature...not too hot so you don’t have to wry about burning yourself.

I really, really like the device. This is actually my second one (the first one met its demise on a trip over Christmas when our new puppy chewed through the power cord).
It is a great size, is designed for cars so that it won’t overload the fuse, which is what happens when you try to use a household heating pad in your car, and it’s been a lifesaver on long trips; I have a back that has undergone 3 fusions and have 2 new ruptured discs - yeah!).
My only wish, and thus shy I hesitate to give it a full 5 stars, is that it had at least one lower heat setting. It gets a bit too warm for summer use, or for those 12 hour drives across Texas. Other than that, it’s perfect!

My wife has a bad back and she has used the heating pad twice and both times it has helped her ride in my truck. It gets pretty warm she says so be careful. I bought 2 for truck and her car. Plus it helps her stay warm so I don’t have to jack up the heat in the truck. I’m buying one for our daughter in Montana.
