With the increase of interest from women for our product, we are introducing our new women's styles.
These new kits offer all the same great options as the men's versions:
The basic Thunderbolt electric sock kit contains a pair of heated, high-quality socks coupled to a state-of-the-art battery pack. With a high-low power selection switch waist-mounted control box. The control box features a built-in LED which gives an indication of high or low heat settings and shows the state of charge of the battery. Also included is a 110 volt "smart" battery charger.
One cable from each sock is normally run up the leg between long underwear and outer pants and exits at belt-level. The cable connects to the controller/battery pack, which may be clipped to the belt on either side of the waist.
The battery pack is quite light, weighing just 13 ounces with carrying case and attached control box.

<h1>Instructions for Care and Use of Thunderbolt Heated Socks</h1><p>Following are suggestions for using your Thunderbolt heated electric socks to obtain maximum comfort and product life.</p><p><strong>DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT IF YOU DO NOT HAVE NORMAL SENSITIVITY TO HOT AND COLD IN YOUR FEET</strong></p><h2>First Time Use</h2><ol><li>Charge the battery.<br />Connect the charger to the rechargeable battery pack for several hours (overnight is fine). The charger will not overcharge the battery. This will prepare the battery pack with a full charge for maximum time heating your electric socks outdoors.</li><li>Put on a pair of lightweight inner socks and long underwear.</li><li>Put on the Thunderbolt electric socks, routing the power cables up to your waist, then together, right or left side, depending on your preference.</li><li>Pull on outer pants, over the cables.</li><li>Clip the black control box to your belt, right or left side and insert cables from socks into control box jacks labeled <em>socks</em> (left and right are interchangeable). Do not plug battery pack in until you want the electric socks to begin heating.</li><li>When you are chilly and wish to begin using the electric socks, plug the battery pack into the control box jack marked <em>bat</em>. This will turn on the heat.</li><li>Select <em>High</em> or <em>Lo</em>w power as desired. Low power is adequate for most situations and offers increased battery life between recharges.</li><li>The blinking LED on the control box will let you know at a glance if you have selected high or low power (fast blinking means high power). In addition, as time passes and the battery becomes exhausted, the LED will blink slower and slower, finally stopping when the electric socks are no longer heating.</li><li>Often, it is not necessary to keep the electric socks heating constantly. By periodically removing the battery connector plug from the control box, you can extend your battery life considerably.</li><li>Since the battery pack is built using the latest NiMH cells which do not exhibit a discharge memory, you may recharge the pack any time, even though it is not fully discharged.</li></ol><h2>Care of Your Thunderbolt Heated Socks</h2><ol><li>Under normal use, your electric socks do not need frequent washing. Changing the undersocks frequently usually does the trick.</li><li>When the time comes, carefully hand-wash the electric socks using a mild detergent, and drip-dry. Drying may take a couple of days, so plan ahead.</li></ol>

I had high hopes for these and I haven't used them that much -- . I have Raynaurd's Syndrome so it's important to keep my toes warm while running. The box that holds the electronics has fallen apart, but I've been keeping it together with a rubber band so that didn't bother me. One sock stopped working, but Thunderbolt fixed it for me, but I was told they wouldn't do that again. Today, the wire for the plug that goes plugs into the electrical box has broken. I'm now looking for for a substitute. If you buy this, be careful with the wire to the box because I don't think there's any way to fix it. If I buy this again, I'll run extra electrical tape around it before I use it. It just seems that for $200, it should be built in a more solid fashion.
