The boot heater does a good job of preventing feet from getting cold. Note I didn't say keeping your feet warm, that's not what these do and not what you want. That will just make your feet sweat and make your feet cold in the long run. The settings button on the side doesn't get hit and change your setting. The battery attachment clips are sturdy and it seems unlikely that they will come loose and get lost. But that is also a problem.
Where this product falls short is in recharging. To access the charging port you must partially remove the batteries from the boot. The attachment clip covers it. It's ridiculous. The charging cables are extremely thin. I question how durable they will be over time in a place where you store ski boots. They're also way too short to be remotely convenient. The lights on the charger are also very inconvenient. You can't see a red charging light for both boots at the same time because they are on opposite sides of the charger, you can only see one at a time.
If it weren't for the horrible charging I would give this 5 stars.
