I use these socks for my morning walk on colder mornings! Most of the time they have worked well! Because they are mostly made of cotton, when my feet sweat they stay cooler. A wool heated sock would be better since wet wool from sweating tends to stay warmer. It is important to make sure these cotton socks really dry out before using them again! The only other issue was that after only two months a hole in the fabric of my big toe began to form.

These socks are actually pretty good. If you are looking for a thicker sock, and to keep your feet warm, they will get the job done.
I am wearing them in an ice climbing boot, so the thickness made the fit too tight. With the tighter fit, I can feel the heating pad under my foot, which was a bit uncomfortable (for me). Putting the socks on, I was afraid of yanking the cord that runs up the socks. Batteries are a little on the bulky side.
With these issues, you might be wondering how I can give it 4 stars. These socks would be great for someone that is using them in hiking boots, snow boots, or something that isn't tight fitting.
I bought them to see if a heated sock would help my frozen toes problem while ice climbing, and they served the purpose. I will continue to use them, but for a different use.
