The wife is constantly cold and her husband, in an attempt to help her, bought her an over-priced heated jacket that came with a giant battery and even more enormous battery charger. This oversized battery still kept her from enjoying things such as skiing or snowmobiling because she was afraid to fall onto the battery. Even wearing it in the car, on cold winter mornings, wasn't an option because the battery jabbed her in her back. The large battery fits on the left side of the vest, My suggestion would be to have 2 small batteries, one on the left side pocket and one on the right side pocket. Its a very bulky battery to fit on one side only. If you leave the zipper unzipped it pulls the vest down to the left

Bought a Gobi Plum Dune Vest for my wife 3 years ago for Christmas.
She just loves it.
Finds it comfortable and warm weather or not the power is on, which is seldom above low.
