These insoles are very comfortable and the heater works great - for up to 6 hours. However, if I want to turn them off via the remote, it seems that I can only then turn them back ON by removing them from my boot to manually press the "on" button. I got these for ice climbing and we are often out there for 7-9 hours total and I would be a complete FOOL to take my boot off at any time while I am out there in the cold. So they just have to stay "ON" in low mode and at the 6 hour mark, no more boot heaters. This feels like a gravely overlooked design flaw for those who want to use them for more than just walking the dog. Maybe someone will fix this for the next generation?

The Great: These work perfectly well. I used them for bike riding in the winter and had them in my shoes for a 19F ride that kept my feet toasty warm at the medium setting. The insole is nicely shaped for my foot.
The Good: Fit is ok. They are somewhat thicker than the insole in my shoe (that I removed) so the fit with them is a little different. These were in Giro cycling shoes. Other brands may be better.
What would be great: The only way to be sure these turn on is to pull them out of the shoe to see the lights on the side of the sole. Once on, they change settings and turn off with the remote. It would be better if they had an audible sound to confirm on/off and heat level. Also it would be nice to be able to 'wake them up' to turn them on without removing them.

I got these late, end of April, so no chance of trying them out. Charged them up and they worked just fine, remote too. Look forward to next ski season to really see how they are. Well made and comfortable.
