HOW TO USE:

I enjoy biking and bird watching year-around, but have always found it challenging to keep my hands (and feet) warm during the winter months. For the past 10 years I've tried different gloves, mittens, inserting charcoal hand warmers, etc...And keeping my thumbs warm has been the most challenging issue. These mittens are great - not only keeping my thumbs warm, but enable me to bike and bird watch at temps below 40 degrees - not previously doable....While the battery only lasts about 1 hour 20 minutes on the highest setting, I can now be out in temps as low as 29 degrees.The only negative - but not a huge issue - is that the mittens look great when purchased with their black and white material/outer shell. But after only 2.5 months, the white parts show a lot of dirt and bike grease stains. Since washer/dryer is not recommended, I used a cloth with soap and water to clean/scrub those areas, which seemed to work pretty well. I'll probably need to do this once or twice each winter....
