I am out in very cold weather and have been using chemical heat pads for years. They work OK. I tried these insoles and was surprised how well they worked. East to use and even in very cold I have not needed to use the highest setting. Anyone that has cold feet or spends a lot of time outdoors should thy a set of these insoles.

I try to charge these up 2-3 times over the summer to keep the batteries in good shape. The remote died after the first year (even after putting in a replacement battery - then half the buttons wouldn't push in) but it isn't that much of a pain to just turn them on and adjust heat settings with the button in the back of the insoles. I use them on medium heat. I mainly just put them in my slippers, I tried putting them in my ski boots once and it made them a bit tight. When the day comes that these no longer hold a charge I'll definitely be getting another pair.
Extra bonus the dual charger that comes with it is handy for charging two other devices\batteries at once while not charging the insoles.

The 8 hour claim seems to be overstated, but they did keep my feet warm for at least 6 hours and by then the day had gotten much warmer. Overall a good product.
