Action Traction Pro Ice cleats provide extreme traction for any outdoor winter activity. Great for both pedestrians and professionals, these Crampons will help provide greater stability and safety while on snow and ice.
The actual Pro Cleats measure 1.5cm (15mm). The front (ball of the foot) has (4) 3-pronged cleats and the back (heel) has (1) 3-pronged and (1) 4-pronged cleats for maximum traction.
The stretchy but firm rubber helps keep the Pro Cleats tight on your shoes or boots. The re-enforced stainless steel chains are built to last.
Designed to be worn in the toughest conditions, and still great to wear around the house to prevent slips and falls.

These have large cleats suitable for ice fishing. A bit overkill for going to the mailbox but certainly would work.

After seven winters of trying to walk during winter in Bangor, Maine I decided to get some kind of traction assistance. The sidewalk and roadside ice can only be described as unholy here, and these cleats are really the only ones with aggressive enough spikes to make a difference. Guess what? This year there hasn't been any kind of significant freeze. There are two or three months yet, so maybe I will get to use them after all.

The cleats offer great traction. I've been walking on compacted snow and ice trails with no slippage. They are easy on and off and lightweight. I've used them approximately two dozen times.
