Winter Walking Ice Cleats & Snow Grips

Traction built for the everyday hazards — the sidewalk, the driveway, the parking lot between your car and the door. Slip-on grips that make an ordinary winter walk something you don't have to think about.

FAQs

Do I need ice cleats just for walking to my car?

That's exactly the situation most winter falls happen in — a short, familiar walk across a lot the person has crossed all winter, over a patch of ice they didn't see. Walking traction is inexpensive relative to a broken wrist, and the whole point of a slip-on design is that it takes seconds. It's cheap insurance against an expensive accident.

What kind of traction do I need for sidewalks?

Light traction — coils or short spikes. Enough to bite into packed snow and ice without making pavement awkward to walk on. Aggressive spiked cleats and crampons are built for real ice and steep terrain, and on a sidewalk they're clumsy and unnecessary. More aggression is not automatically safer.

Will they fit over my winter boots?

Check the sizing against the boots you'll actually wear, not the shoes you're wearing when you order — winter boots are bulkier, and a harness that fits a sneaker may not stretch comfortably over a heavy pac boot. A cleat that slips off mid-step is worse than none, because you've already stopped watching your footing.

Can I keep them on indoors?

No — take them off. Metal spikes on tile or polished floors are slippery, sometimes more dangerous than the ice you just walked across, and they scratch flooring. The slip-on design exists so they come off at the door in a few seconds.
