FAQs
What makes Sidas different from other heated insole brands?
Sidas comes from bootfitting and insoles rather than from electronics, and the premise shows: an insole should support your foot properly before it does anything else. A heated insole that fits badly is a bad insole with a battery attached. If your feet hurt at 2 p.m., the heat isn't what failed.
Insoles or heated socks for ski boots?
Insoles, in most cases. A ski boot is deliberately tight, and a heated sock is thicker than a normal one — the extra bulk crowds your toes and cuts circulation, which makes your feet colder rather than warmer. An insole replaces the one already in the boot, so it adds no bulk and your fit doesn't change.
Do I need to trim them?
Some models come sized and drop straight in; others are trim-to-fit. If yours needs trimming, trace your existing insole first, cut conservatively along the guides at the toe, and stay well clear of the heating element — cutting into it ruins the insole. You can always remove more material. You can't add it back.
